At Abounding Fellowship, your privacy is a top priority. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Abounding App (“App”).
By using the App, you consent to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this policy, please do not use the App.
While our App is designed for all ages, some features may require parental supervision or guidance for users under 18.
Information We Collect
We may collect the following types of information:
- Account Registration Data: When you sign up with an email address and password, we collect your email address, your name (if provided), and any other optional profile details you choose to share.
- Member Directory Information: If you choose to be listed in our church directory, we may collect and store additional contact details such as your phone number or other relevant info. Only authorized users will be able to view this directory.
- Chat Messages: We collect the messages you send and receive in the App’s chat feature to facilitate communication among church members.
- Automatically Collected Data: We may collect technical information such as device type, operating system, IP address, and usage statistics to help us improve the App’s functionality and user experience.
- Push Notification Tokens: We collect device tokens to send push notifications related to announcements, messages, and church events. You can opt out at any time in your device settings.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Authenticate your account and provide secure access to the App.
- Display your contact information in the member directory for other authorized users.
- Facilitate chat features and real-time communication among users.
- Personalize and improve your experience within the App.
- Communicate with you about updates, features, or other information related to the App.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.
Data Sharing and Disclosure
We may share your information in the following circumstances:
- With Authorized Church Members: Your contact information in the directory may be visible to other verified users within the App.
- With Your Consent: If you explicitly agree to share information with third parties outside the church community.
- Legal Obligations: To comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or enforceable governmental requests.
- App Functionality: With trusted service providers (e.g., hosting or database platforms) who assist in operating the App under strict data protection agreements.
Data Storage and Security
We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. This includes:
- Encryption of data during transmission (e.g., SSL/TLS).
- Secure storage with access restricted to authorized personnel who need the information to operate, develop, or improve the App.
User-Generated Content and Moderation
Our App may allow users to generate content, including chat messages and directory profile information. We reserve the right to review, remove, or block any content that violates our community guidelines or is deemed inappropriate.
- Moderation: In order to maintain a safe and respectful environment, our administrators may review content within the App, including private chat messages, if such messages are flagged as offensive or inappropriate. Although private chats are intended to be confidential between users, any message that is reported or flagged will be subject to review by authorized administrators for moderation purposes.
- Reporting: Users can report abusive or inappropriate content by emailing us at info@aboundingfellowship.com.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the data we have about you.
- Correction: Request corrections to inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Deletion: Request that we delete your data (see “Data Deletion Request” below), subject to applicable laws.
Third-Party Services
The App may use third-party services (like Firebase) to store and process data. These services operate under their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review those policies to understand how they handle your information.
Analytics: Although not currently enabled, we may use Firebase Analytics or similar tools in the future to better understand user behavior and improve the App experience. These tools collect anonymized usage data and do not identify individual users.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and the “Effective Date” will be updated accordingly.

Data Deletion Request
At Abounding Fellowship, we prioritize your privacy and respect your right to request the deletion of your personal data. You can delete your data associated with the Abounding App using one of the following methods:
Option 1: Email Request
Send an email to info@aboundingfellowship.com with the subject line “Data Deletion Request” and include the following details:
- Your name
- The email address associated with your account
- A brief description of the data you want deleted
Option 2: App Settings
If you are logged into the Abounding App, you can navigate to your account settings and select the option to “Delete My Account.” Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.
Processing Time
We will process your request within 30 days of receiving it and confirm via email once your data has been deleted. Please note that some data may need to be retained to comply with legal or contractual obligations.
